Useful tool in conjunction with BrainEv
« on: January 13, 2009, 09:25:03 AM »
Just wanted to recommend a product I have found useful in conjunction with the BrainEv system. The product is called SleepPhones and it is available via Amazon.com.

The SleepPhones are headphones specially designed to be used while you are in bed (and, indeed, asleep). They are really designed for people with noisy neighbors or those who have difficulty getting to sleep. As a matter of interest, they come with their own binaural beat CD, and you can also download additional tracks to help you sleep free of charge from the company website.

I use the SleepPhones to listen to the BrainEv CDs first thing in the morning (as recommended in the instructions), before getting up and getting on with my day. They are comfortable to wear, and I can simply lie in bed and enjoy listening to the CDs. I plug them into a portable CD player, but you could also use the SleepPhones connected to a PC or an MP3 player if you prefer.

The audio quality of the SleepPhones is reasonable, though probably not as good as a pair of decent-quality music headphones. Still, I don't think this matters particularly with the BrainEv CDs. The price is very reasonable at $59.95. I live in the UK and my SleepPhones arrived from the US within a week of ordering. Here's the SleepPhones link on Amazon if anyone is interested. Note that you can order different sizes - I got the large size myself.

I hope this may be helpful to anyone looking for a more comfortable way to listen to the BrainEv CDs.

Nick  :)

It is. That was simply the easiest way to create the link, so if you buy through it I will get a couple of dollars in commission. If anyone is unhappy about this, I'm more than happy to donate that money to the charity of your choice. I just wanted to recommend a useful product basically.

Incidentally, Nick wrote a review of the Brain Evolution System on his popular writing blog here:

Nick is a well-respected author of about 80 books so far I think. I lose track!

Yeah - I went to his site and I was pretty impressed.

I was thinking of promoting BrainEv for quite some time (I did some promos back when Lee was behind it) but I just can't seem to get to it... I had some pretty cool ideas jotted down.

The headphone Nick recommends has a frequency response of 0-20kHz.

You can't get any better than that!

Is that so? Those headphones are even better than I thought!

I've honestly lost count as well. It's at least 80, but the exact number does depend whether you count book-length projects such as my writing courses, multimedia CDs, games, and such like. Anyway, who's counting?!

Finally, I feel a bit guilty now about including an Amazon affiliate link in my post above (although it was just for speed and convenience), so if I do get any sales through this, I'll donate all my commission to Amnesty International.

Hope that seems fair to all concerned!

BTW, anyone interested in promoting BrainEv can earn amazing $$$ here:

Honestly. We just paid out some massive figures in January.

Man, now I feel guilty for being the Judas  ;D

Really - my apologies for not taking the time to get a better understanding of the situation and don't feel guilty about it!

Hope we can create a friendly relation in the future!
