Hi all of you Brain-Evers,
I know that many of you reside in the USA and other parts of the world. I would like to pick your brains and see if with our combined knowledge you can't help me to a future that is free of my past. 

I have a house - a lovely, lovely house for sale (www.scarthouse.com) in one of the most scenic and spiritual places on the planet (the Ring of Kerry, Ireland). Due to the recession people are afraid to buy real estate, which is odd if you think about it as prices are very low right now. Our house was valued at €1.2 million prior to the doom and gloom, and we have reduced the price by 40% - so it is definitely a good deal.

How can you help? Well you must know people who have Irish roots, or people with a passion for extremely rare architecture (we won three awards for architectural conservation as our conservation work was so vital to an area depleted of historic houses). Do you know wealthy people? Do you know someone who is an artist, a writer or someone of high spiritual intent, who may seek a creative space nestled between mountains that are 400 million years old and the Atlantic - walk five minutes and you are on the sandy beach in front of the house.

I need a helping hand here. Someone who can help me get this house to a wider audience than just our website. The place would do extremely well as a B&B (6 or 7 bedrooms all with bathroom, two with own sittingroom); a restaurant; a retreat centre; a family home with space to be creative; a vetinary/medical centre (surgery downstairs and live upstairs).....

I would give anyone who actually helped me find a buyer (i.e. the sale actually goes through) a significant monetary reward. By the way the house is in structurally good shape. We had an engineer survey it and he only found one drawback: we need to line the chimneys as they are letting in damp. The new owners will need to decorate.

Any constructive help would be good. Find me a buyer and you have created a miracle. We need to be free. My mother has Alzheimers and we cannot go back and forth between France and Ireland to continue restoration, as we had originally planned.

Now, just take two minutes. Can you think of any avid traveller, wealthy retiree, artist, writer or restauranteur/innkeeper in your circle? Would you just contact them and pass on our website? I would appreciate that from the depths of my being (and we all know that resides in the delta/gamma zone).

Thank you for replying. Within your post lies the answer. You are already partially Irish .... do you know anyone else who is also partially Irish who has emotional space for their Irishness and who has the money to indulge their fantasy of owning their own demesne there? I need to contact Irish American organisations to reach the grass-roots Irish..... not so easy as I have found in the past. Couldn't email those organsations as it was rejected as spam or requires membership. These people must have magazines, events etc and I want to reach out to them.
Unfortunately money is a requirement in this case!

I could help you advertise your Missouri cottage over here (France, Ireland) by putting it up on local, free sites such as leboncoin (France) or buyandsell (Ireland) if you want.

I can't say I know a lot of American Irish, we're kind of loud and irritating even to ourselves 

Fantastic on the progress so far.  I've had found some great tenants for my place, so you can't have it now Karl but if you're looking for a summer home in Missouri, let me know!

I want to help you,i Know an Irish hospital fanatic,he is  a DR and is based in Dublin-is that far from your place,any how there is nothing bad in asking(as jack Canfield says,you are already rejected or have a NO as an answer,when you dont ask,so whats bad in getting a NO or a solid YES if asked.but first let the two parties decision.Please let us know the final outcome.My prayers are with you.Actually I had passed through the same phase and hence fully know your sentiments and feelings.May God lessens rather vanish your worries,so that you can live peacefully and happily.AAMEN.
