Before bed session then Falling aSleep is it ok?
« on: November 01, 2011, 06:08:07 AM »
Hi all.
I work a 3rd shift 9pm-5am, i get home just before 6am, and then go to bed soon after.
I am starting level3 (disc3) and what i have been doing is I would start the track, put my headphones on crawl into bed (yes i'm lying down) and I would start the session.
Thing is I fall asleep every time I listen as well thats my intent I'm literally going to bed, but the track puts me out, helps me sleep.
Now I have noticed that since I had started the program I am much calmer, even under alot of stress, before the program, some things like financial problems which i still have (debts), and stress at work sometimes i would freak out, like I would really get emotional.

Not sure if anyone is into astrology but I am a Pisces, and Pisces are the most sensitive int he zodiac, when they get sad, they really get sad, anywas point is being sensitive to things, i find myself very calm in the midst of things that would make me otherwise well as said freak out. I feel smarter, and have alot of ideas going on, and really didn't have this much well at least not the calm part.

So from all this I got to assume that the program is working for me, and that it is ok to do what i am doing, I mean my schedule is the same everyday.

Thoughts is the program working for me?
or am I imagining that im calm and getting these results as before I had not been this way.

Hello,
It seems to me that it is pretty clear that what you are doing is working for you. Being able to handle stress without overwhelm is a very positive step. I seem to have read elsewhere that falling asleep during a session for the duration of the session is perfectly okay, so the fact you are sleeping for the "night" shouldn't be any different. It is good to hear that the program seems to be working well for you.

Hi there,
I agree with Dreamer. You seem to be harvesting plenty of benefits. Levels 1 and 2 can deliver a great sense of calm (they did for me), so it appears it neither matters whether you Brain Ev lying down, nor going to sleep during or shortly afterwards.

For the record, I always lie down. In my experience, the more relaxed and open to the process I am, the better it works. So lying down 'tells' my brain that this is very relaxing, safe and secure.

As you progress through the levels, things may (or may not) change. You may find it better to alter your schedule, depending on what eventuates. But right now, it looks like you are making excellent progress, so why rock the boat?

Well done. I hope you continue to benefit in the next levels. Lucky you! This really is working while asleep - minimum effort and maximum benefit. All the best, Pure Bliss

Hi again ,
Late reply, been busy with work and other RL activities.
Yes i basically when i go to bed I put the headphones on, relax and im out with in 15 min, I do see the benefits, i feel smarter, my memory seems little sharper as I can recall things faster even when tired.

I have also noticed my ability to learn has increased as i find myself learning things I thought were hard or rather challenging whereas I'd quit trying, now I seem to try them and figure things out faster. theres a calm collective activity going on, being calm, and relaxed Im finding really allows the brain's capacity to be used as it seems that emotions or over active emotions can be a hindrance to a proper focus and well just general well being and thought.

I have noticed that i seem to requiring less sleep, all depends on certain days I mean its random, like for instance I work 9pm to 5am, and go to bed like 7am, most times I wake up at 2pm in the afternoon, lately i been waking up at 12noon, sometimes 11 am.
it seems to vary but it seems like the brain is becoming more efficient in its use of energy or so it seems, as you dont waste alot of energy being overly emotional which taxes you.

I'm also finding myself less anxious, less fearful, as well I have alot of debt, and burden financially right now, and as much as I work, my checks seem to help little but not what i like, as before Brainev i'd be losing my mind emotionally, on how I would handle what im currently handling. Now Im just calm, concise, collective, and well taking care of things, strategizing on how I can change things, or make a better informed decision on where i need to go with something, which otherwise I'd be influence more on how i feel because my emotions would take over.

Work has been stressful, and prob get more stressful as were getting into the busy season with the winter coming up, but I find myself rather calm and relaxed even in spite of chaos.

Not to say that i dont get angry about something which i do but its very short, unlike before I can lose myself, but now my tempers are very short lived, which is a plus.

I'd say Im getting results.

Dear Julian,
Wow, you are getting results. I am thrilled for you. I also found your post to be highly inspiring. All the wins you list, I too have harvested from Brain Ev. It is easy (for me!!) to become habituated and take all this treasure for granted. Enjoy it all and savour this whole-brained living.

I am taking the liberty to quote your post because I think it is so fitting and clearly expressed. What you say so well captures exactly what I have always wanted to express. In fact I am so inspired by your description that I am going to print it out and hang it where I Brain Ev-itate, to remind me of what life was like (all that chaos and fraught emotion = my beta frazzle) and the calm, open, content space I now occupy. Yes, you are so right. Less emotion allows me to perform optimally too. Thank you for that - and keep posting!

Ahh, Julian, you have hit the nail on the head. This is what a good life is about, not being without problems and challenges and high hurdles, but coping optimally and contentedly with what life throws at you.

Thank you so much, Pure Bliss
