@Karl - Thank you for your reply. Now another question, which should perhaps be in a separate thread, but I'll leave that up to you.
I have (finally) noticed that the developer behind the Brain Salon was Craig Tice, not Michael Kelley. Craig's audio presentation describes a combination of binaural beats, monaural tones, and isochronic tones, and hints at the use of temporal entrainment as well.
This does not appear to be Michael's "patented" 3P-DEAP technology. While various entrainment methods are employed, and the mind is taken on a journey through various states, there is no mention of distinct "tiers" giving the mind a choice (or a challenge). Could you please confirm that understanding for me, because this distinction is not clear in the sales pages and I wonder how many other readers may be curious about that (especially if they're looking to get 3P-DEAP "on the cheap").
Also, I find it a little puzzling that the use of headphones is described in the Brain Salon manual as optional, albeit preferred. If you don't use headphones, the binaurals are not going to do anything, and this implies to me that the Brain Salon CDs rely more heavily on the monaurals and isochronics, neither of which require headphones. This seems to be another point of difference between the Salon and BrainEv.
Thanks.
