Hello Sean,
I have thought about your question because it sounds a bit scary.
Speaking for myself, I am doing Brain Ev and now Brain Salon to IMPROVE my mental capacities, not as a mental marathon, or exercise to see how much I can endure.
My father lived through all sorts of things, one being surviving 4 years of starvation as a prisoner of war in a Japanese concentration camp. His words spring to mind now: Moderation in all things. Too much food leads to body fat and other hidden nasties. Too much alcohol, legal and/or illegal drugs, too much sport, too much work, too much worry, too much sex..... you name it, the lesson for us humans seems to be to learn to self-moderate. In the Western World we live in an abundant universe, so it is time we left these scarcity thoughts of having to have more and more behind (my personal view, this is).
Peaches are delicious, but you wouldn't eat 25kgs at one sitting. Likewise, some brainwave entrainment is effective (I thrive on the bare minimum, just the prescribed 30 mins/day). I suggest you use just enough Brain Salon to get you into the desired brainstate. Furthermore there seems to be some suggestion that overdoing BWE leads to habituation = less effective.
Maybe it is a case of less is more!
