Brain Salon?? No usage limits? Safe?
« on: August 19, 2011, 05:22:47 PM »
hey guys I am wondering if it is actually safe to use brain salon as much as you want? as the site states you can do. lol sure I recently posted that you can listen more then intended but wow.. as much as you want? now please dont think I am saying brainev is wrong I would just like a good explanation.. if this is completely safe?? Brainwave entrainment increases blood flow to the head and is it possible too much of it could cause ICP intracranial pressure?(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intracranial_pressure) or any other possible negative effects? ... Honestly has brain salon been tested on people to see what happens in the brain after excessive hours of usage after months?

thanks alot

and everyone I am very sorry if I come across as a pain lol since this is a second somewhat contradicting post, I just want to help others out and am curious myself on this one.

Hi Sean,

We advise using the Brain Salon sessions in moderation.

There are no direct limits, but obviously, don't go listening to them 24/7. They will lose their efficacy, and you'll effectively zone out of your regular brainwave natural patterns. You may use the focus sessions a few times in a day when you're on a deadline, or perhaps the mood/focus/sleep sessions on a busy work day.

But still - everything in moderation. That's probably around four sessions a day, max.

I'm not a doctor. However from what I can tell, there doesn't appear to be any risk of intracranial pressure. This pressure is affected by "abrupt changes in intrathoracic pressure", such as during coughing. Brainwave entrainment doesn't do that. Feel free to chat with your doctor about this however if you are concerned.

Hello Sean,
I have thought about your question because it sounds a bit scary.
Speaking for myself, I am doing Brain Ev and now Brain Salon to IMPROVE my mental capacities, not as a mental marathon, or exercise to see how much I can endure.

My father lived through all sorts of things, one being surviving 4 years of starvation as a prisoner of war in a Japanese concentration camp. His words spring to mind now: Moderation in all things. Too much food leads to body fat and other hidden nasties. Too much alcohol, legal and/or illegal drugs, too much sport, too much work, too much worry, too much sex..... you name it, the lesson for us humans seems to be to learn to self-moderate. In the Western World we live in an abundant universe, so it is time we left these scarcity thoughts of having to have more and more behind (my personal view, this is).

Peaches are delicious, but you wouldn't eat 25kgs at one sitting. Likewise, some brainwave entrainment is effective (I thrive on the bare minimum, just the prescribed 30 mins/day). I  suggest you use just enough Brain Salon to get you into the desired brainstate. Furthermore there seems to be some suggestion that overdoing BWE leads to habituation = less effective.
Maybe it is a case of less is more!

thanks carl and pure bliss sorry about your dad but I am sure he is a badass now or was lol

However i do not have brain salon nor would I go all out on it... I just read about it and well I just don't want others to see that and one day say well I have the time and need whatever and use it however much they did and have possible dangers, I am aware it could cause them to stay in a state of mind for a while that isn't natural, but what I am asking if there is another possibility such as overstimulating your brain thus maybe some possible damage occuring?? I by means am no expert I just know such seems possible. and pure bliss the reason you stop feeling effects as much is the carrier frequency becomes ignored by your brain, similar by people living by loud noises tend to forget they are there which is exactly what brainev tells us.
